Mrs.  JoAnn Armour Nantz, 89, of Indian Trail, passed away on Tuesday May 14, 2024, at the residence of her caregiver and son, after a period of declining health.

Mrs. Nantz was born March 9, 1935 in Mecklenburg County, a daughter of the late Joseph and  Annie Frasure Armour.  She was retired from Ingersoll-Rand after many years of service.  JoAnn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and a faithful member of the Matthews Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Edward Nantz, Sr.

Surviving are her children, Donna Gardner and husband Tim of Angier, NC, Vanessa Hurley and husband John of Indian Trail, NC and a son, Larry Nantz and wife Sheila of Connelly Springs, NC.  Also surviving are the apples of her eye, her eight grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

A Service of Remembrance for JoAnn Armour Nantz will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 25, 2024, in the Indian Trail First Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Nantz and Rev. John Hurley officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Saturday, at First Baptist Church, Indian Trail, NC.
