Jearl Scott Bivens, 61, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville, following a period of declining health.

Jearl was born September, 28 1962 in Catawba County to Linda Smith Bivens and the late Jerry Lee Bivens. Jearl worked as an exterminator and enjoyed fishing.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, Allen Bivens and wife Cathy, and Richard Lee Bivens; sister, Leneata Childers; and nephew, Randy Lee. Also surviving is his girlfriend of the home, Brenda Deaton and her daughters, Whitney Deaton, Stacy Deaton Cunningham and husband James, and Emily Deaton; and ten grandchildren; all of whom he loved dearly.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.

Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory in Valdese is assisting the family.
