Mr. Henry Lee Hudson, 80, of Hickory, passed away on Thursday April 3, 2025, at his residence with his family by his side, after a period of declining health.
Mr. Hudson was born, July 22, 1944, in Cleveland County, a son of the late John Ransom and Zella Young Hudson. Mr. Hudson retired as a plant superintendent of Drexel Heritage Furniture Co. Henry was an active and faithful member of St John’s Baptist Church. He loved to spend time outside in his garden and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren who enjoyed him more than he knew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Lowman Hudson.
Those left to cherish his memory are two sons, Mark Hudson and wife, Edna of Hickory, Chris Hudson and wife Darnell of Hickory and a sister Jane Dippmann of Valdese. Also surviving are the apples of his eye, his grandchildren, Lauren Grace Cline and husband Austin, Caleb Hudson and Lindsay Hudson. Funeral Services for Henry Lee Hudson will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday April 5, 2025, at St. Johns Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Dyson and Rev. Austin Cline officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Johns Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. Saturday at St. Johns Baptist Church.
