Harvey Dennis Lowman, 80, of Granite Falls, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday March 17, 2024, following a brief illness.
Dennis was born May 18, 1943, in Burke County, a son of the late Lealin Richard Lowman, a casualty of World War II, and Gladys Ogle Lowman Snypes. He graduated from NC State with a degree in Textiles, a field in which he worked for many years prior to retirement. Dennis loved to fish and spend time outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his siblings, Sharon Snypes Blanton and William Larry Snypes.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 59 years, Linda Carpenter Lowman; children, Randy Lowman and spouse Jaimee and Kimberly Lowman Ollis and spouse Charles; grandchildren, Davis Lowman, Clarke Lowman and spouse Lorian, Landis Lowman, Taylor Kelly, and Grayson Ollis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Dry Ponds Baptist Church on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 1 PM with Rev. Rob Evans officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 12 PM to 1 PM.
Memorials may be made to Dry Ponds Baptist Church at 5235 Union Church Rd., Granite Falls, NC 28630.
