Harold Clinton “Clint” Hamby III, 48, of Lenoir passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Amorem following a period of declining health.
Clint was born May 15, 1976 to Harold “Buddy” Hamby Jr. and Linda Kirby Turnmire. He loved to fish, play and watch basketball, and build with Legos. But most of all he loved his family and he will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Maura Hope Smith-Hamby; grandchildren, Annabelle, Olivia, and Dallas, grandmother, Ella Mae Kirby; sisters, Rena Turnmire, Brittany Bare, and Amanda Bryant and husband Jonathan; brother, William Hamby and wife Jennifer; numerous nieces and nephews; and best friend, Stacy Michael. Also surviving are previous step-parents, Linda Avery, and Charles Turnmire and wife Pat that he still very much cared about.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date by the family.
Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory in Valdese is assisting the family.

Clint will definitely be missed. I was one of his dialysis techs and the last time I saw him he told me goodbye and he loved me. And I definitely loved him he was one of the good ones.
Hope, I am truly sorry to hear about your dad’s passing, he was such a good man and loved his family very much. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
We will miss Clint at church. He was always a quiet, humble, kind man. He always sat in the same seat and we knew we could look over there to see if he was able to be in the service that day. Sad for you, Hope, losing your dad at such a young age. So sorry the grandchildren won’t have their grandpa to love on them. Also sad for Stacey, his faithful friend that helped him out so much.. All of us will miss Clint. May his reward of eternal life give all of you peace & comfort.
