Grace Riddle McKinney, 85, of Hickory passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Catawba Valley Medical Center following a period of declining health.
Grace was born June 21, 1937 in Mitchell County, NC to the late Ed Riddle and Bonnie McKinney Forbes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bud McKinney; two grandchildren, Joey McKinney and Chris McKinney; and eight of her brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her children, Kenneth McKinney and wife Susan of Drexel, and Sherry Childres and husband Steve of Marion; grandchildren, Jeromy “Jay” Haynes, Lucretia Haynes, and Keisha Haynes; great grandchildren, Tiffany Magness, Nicholas Beaver, Brianna Caraway, and Starla Haynes; great great grandchildren, Logan Mace and Eliza Magness; and nieces, Wanda Redeagle, Holly Redeagle, and Lisa Reeves.
