Glen Alex Chapman, 62, of Hickory, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. He was born March 11, 1963, in Cabell County, West Virginia, a son of the late Glendon Ray Chapman and Virginia Mae Riggs Chapman.
Glen leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and wisdom. He was the loving and devoted father of Lisa Bennett and the cherished father-in-law of Jonathon Bennett. Glen’s greatest pride and joy was being “Pappy” to his two beautiful granddaughters, Ember Bennett and Nova Bennett.
Glen cherished his time in Florida, and his time spent out west, where he found solace and beauty in the God’s creations, with a special highlight being his visit to Mount Rushmore and Cody, Wyoming.
Glen had a profound impact on those around him through his dedication to teaching a Bible prophecy course, authored by himself, at Truth Tabernacle in Hildebran, NC. His dedication to sharing his insights and fostering understanding in others was a testament to his character and commitment to his faith. He was committed to understanding the world around him through his love for science and research.
Known for his ability to captivate audiences with his stories and humor, Glen had a gift for making people laugh and smile. His conversations were legendary, often leaving friends and family with the feeling that he could “talk your ears off.” His warmth, kindness, and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Glen’s family and friends will remember him for his unwavering love, his commitment to his faith, and his zest for life.
