Mr. Clark enjoyed talking politics, pulling for UNC-Chapel Hill sports, and was an extremely competitive Rook player. But what he most enjoyed was spending time with his grandchildren, either here at home or his second residence in North Myrtle Beach.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven siblings, Johnny Robert Clark, Kenneth Harold Clark, Ruth Clark Greene, Huse Clark Powell, Joyce Clark McMahan, Julia Clark Rhyne, and Nell Clark Lail.

My sweet friend Robbin… I was so sad to hear about George’s passing. He was a wonderful man and we all loved him very much. He will certainly be missed by all of the Fajermans. Please accept our sincerest condolences and know that our hearts are broken for you, your mom, sweet Jack, and the rest of your family. We love you all.
TO FAMILY: George will be missed at each gathering of the Cozort family. He was always the one who brought joy and laughter to the table. He traveled from Oak Hill to Drexel to cut trees during Hugo so a niece could go ahead with her wedding. He was a pallbearer at his brother-in-law’s funeral of who thought the world of him. George was always there to bring comfort in time of sorrow, support to a nephew, and always “how are you” when he saw you. My, my – what rejoicing is going on in Heaven now with both the Clark and Cozort families. Sorrow here on earth is with both families and his absence will be felt daily. George Clark – twas a friend to all!
George will always be in our thoughts and talks for years to come. He made the Wade Aldridge Sunday School Class. Always laughing and having fun with everyone. We love you Nancy, Robin And Christian . Our prayers and thought are with you all. ❤️
