Mr. Eugene Everette Lindsay, 90, of Hickory passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Catawba Valley Medical Center following a period of declining health.

Mr. Lindsay was born on May 1, 1932, in Catawba County, NC, to the late Charles “Ronal” Lindsay and Amanda Pruitt Lindsay.  Eugene served honorably in the United States Army.  He loved working on cars any time he had the chance.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Joy Louise Lindsay;  five brothers: Robert Lindsay, Perlie Lindsay, Glen Lindsay, Forest Lindsay, and Elmer Lindsay; and three sisters: Irene Lindsay Craig, Gladys Lindsay Wright, and Louise Lindsay Preslar.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Tony Lindsay and wife Myra Ann Lindsay, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church Hildebran Cemetery with Rev. Ron Arndt officiating.  Military Honors will be presented at the graveside.
