Eloise H. Hildebran, 84, of Morganton, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at her residence following a period of declining health.

Eloise was born December 31, 1937 in Burke County to the late Vernon Hildebran and Selvia Heavner Hildebran Parker. She was a faithful member of Drexel Memorial Baptist Church for fifty-nine years. Eloise was a wonderful, loving person who was well loved by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Hildred “Bud” Hildebran.

She is survived by her children, Phil Hildebran and wife Judy, Regina Hildebran Drum, and Eric Hildebran; brothers, Joel Hildebran, and Terry Hildebran and wife Faye; and grandchildren, Stephanie Cannon and husband William, Megan Burns and husband Steven, Danielle Drum and Keith Gajus, and Emma Hildebran. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Ella Cannon, William Cannon, Caroline Cannon, Tiernin Burns, Nellie Burns, and Briana Gajus; sister-in-laws, Flora Knox, Diane Cook, and Rolanda Carswell; and special – long time friend, Willie Mae Miller.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service. A private entombment will follow the service.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday prior to the service.
