Elise Nantel Pires, 89, born to the late J. Emile Nantel and Bernadette Cousineau.

Preceded in death by her husband H. George Pires and her siblings, Jacques (Helene), Yolande (Joseph), Robert Pierre, Robert (Jaqueline), Louis (Yolande), and Monique (Louis)

As single mother, Elise put herself through school earning two Bachelors Degrees in four years!

Elise married H. George Pires in 1966, moved to Long Island, NY then later to NJ where she raised two children and helped her husband build a successful business in CrossPoint Latch Corp.

Elise was known far and wide for the best-fried rice anyone could make.

Elise was an unrivaled knitter and made many articles of clothing for her family.

At the age of 51 she decided to become a real estate agent with the ulterior motive of helping her children get homes, this turned into a successful career path.

At 65 she started yet another career as a group home manager for people with disabilities.

Retiring to NC she decided to just spoil her children, grand and great grand children.

She is survived by her daughter, Danielle Dzioba and Husband Raymond; son, Gabriel Pires; grandchildren, Alexander Dzioba, Devin Dzioba, Dominique Travis, Shannon Merwin and Ricky Pires; and great-grandchildren, Kayla, Lauren, Ainsley, Tristan, Brendan, Paul, Shyann, Patricia, and Michaela.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Service. The family will receive friends following the service.
