Mrs. Dorothy Epley LeFevers, 82, of Valdese, went to her Heavenly Home on Saturday
August 24, 2024, at her residence, after a period of declining health.
Mrs. LeFevers was born December 18, 1941, in Burke County, a daughter of the late Atlas and Maudie Parker Epley. She retired from the Alba-Waldensian, John Louie Plant after many years of service. Dorothy was a faithful and active member of Shiloh Baptist Church, teaching in the nursery and children’s department. She also taught for Vacation Bible School in her church every year.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gary LeFevers, daughter, Teresa McCall, granddaughter, Jeri Lynn Conley and sister, Linda Childers.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Chris McCall, her daughters, Crystal King (John), Peggy Johnson, and sisters, Genell Dellinger, Daisy Williams, Helen Abernathy, Gail Bollinger, brothers, Bobby Epley (Jenifer), Gary Epley, Dennis Epley (Sylvia), sister-in-law, Dianne Hamby and brother-in-law, Bill LeFevers (Nancy). Also surviving are the apple of her eyes, a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Dorothy LeFevers will be held at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday August 27, 2024, in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, with Rev. Mike Lowman and Rev. Ronnie LeFevers officiating. Interment will follow in the Burke Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 11 AM until 12PM Tuesday at Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese.
