Mrs. Dorothy Ann Dennie Bodden, 88, of Granite Falls, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Hickory Falls Nursing Home, following a period of declining health.
Dorothy was born on October 5, 1935, in McDowell County to the late James Alexander Dennie and Bashie Caroline Chester Dennie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herschell Van Buren Bodden, and two children, Herschell Van Bodden II and Nancy Anne Bodden Rossi.
Survivors include her son Leopold Alexander Bodden of Granite Falls, daughter in-law, Kerrie Hollifield Bodden, and son in-law, Jeffery Rossi. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Michael Rossi, Regina Bodden, Keith Rossi, Leopold Bodden II and Jamie Bodden, great-grandchildren, Viktor Pollard, Emma Mack, Leopold Bodden III and Alastar Bodden, two sisters, Mabel Bright and Nancy White and a brother, Paul Dennie.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 25 2024 at 5:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service.
The family will receive friends following the service.
