Doris Seagle Bradley, 94, of Morganton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 23, 2024 at Shaire Center in Lenoir following a period of declining health.
Doris was born on August 19, 1929 in McDowell County to the late G.P. Seagle and Maude Conley Seagle. She was self employed owner and operator of Seagle Lumber Company in Marion. She was a former Sunday School Teacher and served on numerous committees during her life, and was a member of Mount Home Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two sisters, Katherine Bowman and Elizabeth Greenlee both of Marion; and one brother, Jim Seagle of Morganton.
Survivors include her husband of 73 years, James “Jim” Bradley of the home; her daughter, Jane Bradley of Morganton; two sisters-in-law, Ann Cardell of Charlotte and Nora Seagle of Morganton; a dear family friend, Joe Hall of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
A Private family Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Mount Home Baptist Church Cemetery.
A Public Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday January 27, 2024 at Mount Home Baptist Church, with Rev. Dave Kistler officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Mount Home Baptist Church.
