Derrell was the best father in law I could’ve ever asked for! He was loving, funny, compassionate, generous, caring, kind, and most of all patient! He loved his granddaughters with everything in him and did anything to see them smile! The BEST pawpaw! We are very blessed to have had him in our lives and I know he is up in heaven telling Michael all about the girls and how they’ve grown! Pam (mawmaw) we love you with all our hearts and though we are devastated by losing him, we rejoice in the fact we know he is with Jesus! All of our love and prayers are with his family especially the love of his life Pam.
Dear sweet Niece. Pam I am heartbroken for your loss. Derrell was a remarkable man, husband, father, grandfather, nephew and friend to everyone. He was always smiling, and making everyone feel special. Your Uncle Brad (Hoag), had such a good time with him and your sweet Daddy when they went to the OBX. And we all have great memories of the fish fries . I will be praying for you and your babies daily. If you ever need me I will be there. We love you all so much! Love you bunches, Aunt Brenda
