Derl Henry Stevens Sr., 72, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Carolina Rehab Center of Burke following a period of declining health.

Derl was born June 21, 1952 in Maryland to the late Ceil Stevens and Ruth Rosenbalm Stevens. He loved to fish, travel to see his family, and barter and trade at flea markets and yard sales; always collecting new items.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Gordie Stevens and Noah Stevens.

He is survived by his son, Derl Henry Stevens Jr. and wife Alicia; grandchildren, Bailey Stevens, Emili Irizarry and husband Kaanan, Lydia Barrett and husband Logan, Natalie Rose, Kember Stevens, Brayden Barlow, Preston Barlow, and Alexis Stevens; and great-grandchildren, Sebastian Rose, and Atlas Irizarry. Also surviving are his brothers, Kirk Stevens, Carl Stevens and wife Betty, Johnny Stevens, Allen Stevens and wife Tina, and Nat Stevens; sisters, Lila Lingerfelt and husband Kenny, Thelma Lingerfelt, and Darlene Emmett and husband Robert; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
