Dennis Edward Smith, 61, of Lenoir passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital following a period of declining health.
Dennis was born July 12, 1962 in Lincoln County. He worked at Frosty Frez for over fourteen years and cherished his friends. Dennis had a big heart and would help anyone he could.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-one years, Tonya Edwards Smith; daughter, Holly Charlebois and husband Mathieu; grandchildren, Shelby, Leila, Keith, and Rhaena; and his beloved little dog, Angel.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Pastor Jerry Lingerfelt officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Service.

Tonya, we are so sorry for your loss. Shane was one of Dennis’s best of friends for almost 30 years. Dennis was his best man at my husband’s first wedding lol. Shane and I just heard about his passing; if you need anything at all please call us.
