Deborah Sue O’Quinn 74, of Valdese, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at UNC-BR Morganton, following a period of declining health.
Deborah was born on March 31, 1948 in Martinsville, VA to the late Edward Paul O’Quinn and Mae Amos O’Quinn. She was previously employed in the sanding department with Drexel Heritage Furniture, and more recently was employed at National Linen in Florida. She was best known for her love for all animals, and was regarded as the Dr. Doolittle of her community.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas E. O’Quinn.
Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Brewer of Morganton, and Elethia Robinson (Kevin) of Vale. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Nichole and Stanley Spearman III, Machae’ and Whitni Robinson, two great-grandchildren, Jemma Spearman and Tamia Lofton, and a nephew, Robert Lee O’Quinn.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 4:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Rev. Logan Lovelace and Rev. Gwen Cobb officiating.
The family will receive friends on Monday, from 3:00-4:00 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
