Mr. David Larry Causby, 89, of Morganton, passed away on Sunday January 26,2025 at his residence, after a period of declining health.
Mr. Causby was born July 24, 1935, in Burke County, a son of the late Raymond and Ceila Burns Causby. David graduated from Oak Hill High School and served his country as a member of the US Air Force. He retired as a color styling specialist from the furniture manufacturing industry.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Vergie Kiser Causby, second wife Margie Pruitt Causby and granddaughter, Jenifer Causby.
Surviving are his two sons, Charles Causby and Joe Causby both of Morganton, a daughter, Cindy Bowman (Charles) of Lebanon, VA. and a step-daughter, Carolyn Henson (Gary) of Morganton, NC. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Derek Causby, Tim Boardwine, great-grandchildren, Jade Crump, Tim Boardwine, III, Jordan Boardwine and Jennie Boardwine.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday January 30, 2025, in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese. Entombment will follow in the Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum.
