Ms. Cynthia Montana Shuford Shade, 61, of Connelly Springs passed away at her home on Thursday, April 13, 2023, following a period of declining health.
Ms. Shade was born on July 20, 1961 in Catawba, North Carolina, to Perry Joseph Shuford and Dorothy Willis Shuford. She was an avid collector of jewelry, and she loved to color. To feed her coloring hobby, she loved to collect pens and books. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
Ms. Shade is preceded in passing by her father; a husband, John Wayne Shade; and two nephews, Doug Shuford and Jason Shuford.
Those left to cherish her memory include her mother; brother, Joe Shuford and wife Dorothy; son, Brian Young and wife Libby; two grandchildren, Brandon Meadows and Emily Greene and husband Justin; two great-grandchildren, Aidan Coffey and Brantlee Childers; one great-great-grandchild, Bentley Eckard; nephews, D.J. Shuford, Austin Shuford, Mason Shuford, and Colton Shuford; and niece, Leighear Shuford.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Shoup’s Grove Baptist Church with Rev. J.C. Bradley and Rev. Tony Land officiating. Interment will follow at Shoup’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Shoup’s Grove Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345.
