Christopher Jacob Cook, 43, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024, in Greensboro following a period of declining health.
Christopher was born February 15, 1981, in Watauga County, a son of Aaron Cook and Margaret Ella Kates. Chistopher loved his family and adored his son. He was an industrial electrician for more than 20 years. He loved the mountains.
He is preceded in passing by his sister, Kimberly Renee Cook; grandparents, Richard Kates, Jeannette Kates, and Mickey Cook; uncle, Ricky Kates; and cousin, Laura Charlton.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Margaret Ella Kates Bostain (Mike) of Texas; father, Aaron Cook (Lisa) of Hendersonville, North Carolina; sister, Kaitlyn Cook Hines; brothers, Adam Richard Cook of Indiana, Joshua Cook of Florida, Matthew Cook of Valdese, Justin Kates, and Ben Kates; a son, Jacob Cook of Rockwell, North Carolina; grandfather, AV Cook, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
