Mr. Christopher “Chris” Allen Huffman, 42, of Connelly Springs, passed unexpectedly on January 10, 2024.
Chris was born March 16, 1981 to Olin and Jan Cooke Huffman. Chris led a selfless and generous life. A proud Veteran, he served in the United States Army, and severed a tour in the Iraq war. He was a loyal soldier of God and called St. John’s Baptist Church of Connelly Springs his place of worship. During his spare time, Chris gallantly volunteered at the South Mountain Fire Department and would also spend time fishing when given the opportunity. Upon departing this earth, he gave the ultimate gift of being an organ donor. He possessed a keen sense of humor, always had time to listen to others, and had a laughter that will be missed by all. Chris was fond of saying he loved his job to be available for his children at all times.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, and maternal grandfather.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory are his children, Chistopher Aaron Huffman and Danielle Nicole Huffman; mother of his children, Heather Lail Shuffler; brother, Michael (Nicole) Huffman; nephew Cody (Kaitlyn) and his son, William Huffman; niece, Shelby Huffman and grandparents, Harold and Jean Price.
A service to honor Christopher will take place Sunday, January 14, 2024 at 3:00, at St. John’s Baptist Church, with Rev. Tony Dyson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, 2:00 to 3:00 at St. John’s Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the children of Christopher Huffman.
