Charles Wayne Terry, 83, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025, following a motor vehicle accident.
Charles was born on May 11, 1941 in Burke County, a son of the late Earnest and Ruby Clarke Terry. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He coached recreational basketball and football for many years and could often be found watching NASCAR and old westerns in the comfort of his home. More than anything, he loved his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his wife of forty-eight years, Joan Stewart Terry.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, David (Shawn) Terry, Crystal (Jack) Hildebran, and Steven (Cynthia) Terry; grandchildren, Savannah Terry, Aaron Hildebran, Samantha Terry, and Brent Terry; great-grandchildren, Paisley Hildebran and Tilman Hildebran; a sister, Nancy Gragg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 5:00 PM in the Burke Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM at Heritage Funeral Service on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
Heritage Funeral Service is assisting the Terry family.

Charles was a good man who liked to cut up and tell jokes at Bingo. Which he enjoyed playing.
Charles was one of a kind. He loved to tell jokes and make people smile. Him and Joan will be dearly missed by their wonderful children and grandchildren. We send our love and prayers to Steve and Cindy, David and Shawn, and Crystal and Jack. We also send our love to his beautiful grand children. I hope has fun moving with ease in Heaven.
