Catherine ‘Colene’ Hedrick, 91, of Valdese, passed away at home on Monday, December 9, 2024 following a period of declining health.

Colene was born on March 18, 1933 in Burke County, a daughter of the late Sherrill and Jessie Lowman Winkler.  She was a loving mother to everyone and will be truly missed by many.  God has another angel in His Presence.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by a son, Jimmy Hedrick.

She was blessed with five generations of grandchildren.  Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Jerry Hedrick, Bobby Hedrick (Mary), Mike Hedrick (Carol), and Phyllis Hedrick Linkous.

The family would like to give special thanks to Scotty and Kathy for their caregiving.

A Graveside Service will be held at Burke Memorial Park on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 12 PM with Rev. Marvin Wiley officiating.
