It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Vardo, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, who left this world on October 18th, 2023. She was a strong-willed beacon of love, devotion, and unwavering determination. She faced life’s challenges with resilience and strength. Her indomitable spirit was a shining example for her family. Carol grew up in Maryland where she enjoyed dancing with her friends to the ‘50s music of her time; as a teenager this was her greatest passion. As a hard-working young mother, she found time to earn her college degree while raising three small children and eventually retiring from Johns Hopkins Hospital. Finding her soulmate later in life, Carol shared a deep and enduring bond of 22 years with her husband, David. Together, they weathered life’s joys and trials, demonstrating the true meaning of partnership and commitment. Carol leaves behind a legacy of three devoted daughters; Julie Crue, Christine Samson and Wendy Morgan and five cherished grandchildren Devin Cookson, Matthew Wisniewski, Ashlyn Molinaro, Allyssa Morgan and Summer Hazlett. Her strength of character and determination have left an indelible mark on each of them, shaping their lives in profound ways. She was a woman of immense strength, unwavering determination, and a true embodiment of independence. She lived life on her own terms, never compromising her principles, and her steadfast spirit was a wellspring of inspiration for those who knew her. While Carol may no longer be with us in person, her legacy of love and strength will live on in the hearts of her family. Her memory will continue to inspire us. May Carol Vardo rest in eternal peace, joining those of her family that went before her and surely are there now welcoming her back “home”. With deepest sympathy, David, Wendy, Chrissy, Julie and Family
