We met Callie in 1984 at Shoups Grove Baptist Church when Tony became pastor there. Callie always had a smile on her face and the love of Jesus in her heart. Callie lived an exemplary life of faithfulness and love in everything she was asked to do. She will be greatly missed.
With our sincere condolences,
Tony and Susan Land
This dear Christian woman was a wonderful childhood family friend and then I married her nephew, David. Callie was one of the first to welcome each of our girls into the family by coming to the house and holding them after they were born. Callie and Everette were such good influences and just loved me like one of their own. I am so thankful our girls got to know her before she got sick. We will miss her.
I feel very blessed to have both Callie and Everette in my life. I’ve known them all my life and always felt like a part of the family. Callie was my Sunday school teacher and VBS teacher. I loved to hear her sing. When I was little I wanted to be just like her. Sometimes I got lucky and she would let me sing with her group. They both were a big part in my life and helped lead me to God. She will be greatly missed but we will see her again and I know that she is singing with my mom and the angels. Love you and will be praying for you.
