My prayers are with the family. I worked with Gene and his brother Harold at CMPD for years. Ge e was a very good officer and friend and will be missed.
I never had the privilege of working in the same team a Gene, but I did get to see him many mornings after work. He was a kind person and a witty and very intelligent Police Officer. He is one of the true good guys that I have remembered for years and who I encouraged other Officers to follow his example. I never saw him be mean to anyone, but he still managed to do his job. This was sometimes hard when his clients really didn’t want him to do it. He was a rare individual who as far as I know had no enemy’s and helped everyone. He will be missed.
RIP Geme We had some great time’s in Rookie School and through the years.
Doug
Billy an Seth Elmore are his grandchildren, not his great grandchildren. It’s Billy Elmore Sr Jr and I am the 3rd.
I had the privilege to know Gene for many years when we both attended Zion Baptist. He was a wonderful man and a great role model for many of the young men in the church. He also gave sincere, heart-felt prayers during morning worship. My condolences to his family. God Bless, Ashley Taylor
