Billy Joseph Gragg, 87, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Frye Regional Medical Center following a period of declining health.
Bill was born August 24, 1937 in Rutherford County to the late Eugene Gragg and Eva Price Gragg. He was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church and worked in the furniture industry until his retirement. Bill enjoyed many activities outside from gardening, fishing, or running his rabbit dogs. He was deeply loved by his family and will be missed dearly.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Lovelace and Ruth McNeely.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Ezell Gragg of sixty-six years; daughter, Frances Wells and husband Chipper; son, Stan Gragg and wife Michelle; grandchildren, Jessica Webb and husband Doug, Jamie Jones and husband Charlie, and Justin Walker and wife Paula; six great-grandchildren, Reagan, Walker, Grayson, Aubree, Camden, and Wade; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Oak Ridge Baptist Church with Pastor Nicholas Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Ridge Baptist Church at 7449 Oak Ridge Church Rd, Connelly Springs, NC 28612.
Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory in Valdese is assisting the family.
