Betty Jean Griffin Lowman, 90, of Morganton, passed away on Saturday May 13, 2023 at The Springs of Catawba Rehab Center after a period of declining health.
Mrs. Lowman was born August 18, 1932 in Burke County, a daughter of the late Fred Clifton and Annie Shew Griffin. She was a loving wife, mother, grand-mother and retied as an inspector after many years of service from the hosiery manufacturing industry.
Surviving are her children, James William Lowman, Jr. of Greenville, SC, Terry Clifton Lowman of Morganton and Barrey Griffin Lowman (Tammy) of Morganton. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Alisha Feimster, Haley Lowman and Cory Lowman, Alana Strickland and great-grandchildren, Katie Feimster, Becca Feimster ,Shelby Feimster, Michael Blake Williams, Jace Strickland and Salem Strickland.
A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.
