Mrs. Anaise Bridges Puckett, 87, of Valdese, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Amorem Hospice of Valdese, following a period of declining health.
Anaise was born on November 24, 1936, in Burke County to the late Jason C. Bridges and Susie Bleynat Bridges. She was retired from Civil Service with the U.S. Air Force and was baptized, confirmed and raised in the Waldensian Presbyterian Church. Anaise went to Valdese Elementary, attended the Old Rock School, and graduated from Valdese High School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Robert L. Puckett Sr., two brothers, Dale E. Bridges and Jason C. Bridges Jr., and one sister, Amelia B. Nicholson.
Surviving are her two sons and two daughter in-laws, Robert and Dlorah Puckett of Valdese, and James and B.J. Puckett of Nashville, GA. Also surviving are six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
A gathering of friends will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 5:30 until 7:00 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese. A memorial service will be held on August 31, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at the Waldensian Presbyterian Church in Valdese, with a Reception to follow in Pioneer Hall.
