Elaine Pritchard Applegate died 29 April 2019 in Burke County. Elaine was born in Logan, WV in 1947 to Mary and Tommy Pritchard. Her family moved back to Valdese in 1954. Elaine attended Valdese Public Schools, and graduated from VHS in 1965. She graduated from Gardner-Webb Jr. College in 1968 and Mars Hill College in 1970.
